Mind rules over matter; this is one of the deepest truths we encounter on our path of awakening, and more and more people are sensing today that behind all seemingly fixed reality lies a subtle, living consciousness from which all forms originate. Mind is not a rigid entity, but a constantly expanding field that unfolds through our dense as well as nourished by our luminous experiences and constantly expanding further.
At its core, spirit refers to consciousness, and consciousness is the highest authority in all of existence. Nothing in this creation can arise without consciousness, for every thought, every sensation, and every action is first born in the spirit before it solidifies on the material plane. All material states ultimately originate from consciousness and never the other way around. This sequence is irreversible, and therein lies the key to our own creative power: Whoever truly internalizes the primacy of spirit over matter recognizes that they are not a victim of external circumstances, but rather the true author of their own reality.
Everything arises from consciousness.
Everything that comes into existence originates from consciousness. All of creation is essentially a single, gigantic, and thoroughly conscious mechanism, a living web of spirit expressing itself in countless forms. Everything is consciousness, and consciousness is everything. Nothing in this world could exist without this spiritual groundwork, for even the solidest stone, the vastest ocean, and the distant star are, in their innermost essence, condensed information, sustained vibration, congealed spirit. The same is true of our entire lives: what we experience daily as our reality is a faithful reflection of what we carry within us, a mirror of our thoughts, our convictions, and our deepest beliefs. As within, so without—this fundamental hermetic law permeates every level of creation.
Consciousness knows no polarity
In its purest form, consciousness is completely free from any polarity. It contains neither masculine nor feminine aspects; it is neither light nor dark, neither up nor down. The duality, the interplay of opposites we experience in this world, arises from the creative spirit and is consciously brought forth by it. It is like a coin that has two different sides and yet remains one and the same coin. Both sides are fundamentally different, yet form an inseparable unity (the principle of polarity and gender). This idea can be applied to all of life, for every single existence possesses its own unique expression, and although all life appears so different, it is always part of the same great creation. Whoever internalizes this ceases to divide the world into rigid camps and begins to recognize the underlying unity behind the opposites.
Consciousness as the highest instance of creation
Consciousness is simultaneously the highest authority in the entire universe. Many people still imagine God as a three-dimensional, material figure enthroned somewhere in the cosmos, watching over us from the outside. But in truth, God is not a figure in this sense, but rather consciousness in its entirety, a conscious creative spirit that continually experiences itself in all conceivable facets of the universal expanse. It is an immeasurable, all-encompassing consciousness that expresses itself in all material and immaterial states and individualizes itself in countless incarnations, encountering itself anew on the most diverse levels, from the smallest to the greatest. Thus, in every living being, in every human being, in every creature, there resides a divine spark, an immediate part of this one great spirit.
How we live the knowledge and put it into practice
This knowledge is not meant to be merely thought, but lived. When we truly recognize that our mind is the creator of our reality, a profound inner work begins. We learn to cherish our thoughts like a precious garden, for every thought is pure energy that ceaselessly flows into our own field and into the collective consciousness. In the stillness of meditation, we touch that space where we experience ourselves as pure consciousness, beyond all roles and identifications. We pay attention to our words, for they too are condensed vibrations and help shape what manifests in our lives. And we consciously align our inner image with what we truly wish to experience, for the outer world always adapts to our mind. Thus, a philosophical insight becomes a lived, creative force that carries us step by step from density into the light. Those who wish to internalize this path will also find it in the knowledge that we are the creators of our own reality are, as well as in a deeper understanding of the hermetic principle of the mind.
One and everything at the same time
Thanks to our timeless, spaceless consciousness, we are one and simultaneously everything. On the immaterial plane, we are connected to the entire universe; this has always been the case and always will be. This is precisely the profound reason why, despite our individual creative expression, we humans are all fundamentally the same. We are fundamentally different and yet profoundly one, for the same divine spirit breathes within us all. Everything is one and one is everything. Everything is God and God is everything. When we live from this awareness, we cease to perceive ourselves as separate, small islands and recognize ourselves as an inseparable part of a living, loving whole.
Closing words
Mind governs matter, and the more deeply we anchor this truth within ourselves, the more conscious and free we become as creators of our own reality. We are invited to purify our minds, lovingly align our thoughts, and recognize ourselves for what we truly are: a direct expression of divine consciousness. Everything always begins within us, in our minds; never forget that. With that in mind, stay healthy, content, and live a life in harmony. 🙂
All realities are embedded within one's own sacred Self. The Self is the divine ground, the source, the path, the truth, and the life. Everything is one, and one is everything. – The highest self-image!
